Sony has introduced, their Reader Daily Edition ebook reader is finally available in the market for purchase. The Daily Edition has a7 inch E-ink touchscreen and comes integrated with AT&T’s network for mobile downloads. Sony is offering titles from their own wireless store same as the Barnes & Noble and Amazon are doing. Sony has become partners with many other libraries to offer users access to loan library titles for 29 days before they are automatically deleted.
Sony is offering 3G connectivity on its reader with no monthly subscription. It has 1.6GB of internal storage and has 2 microSD card slots for memory expansion. It supports formats such as EPUB, ACS4, PDF, DOC together with AAC and MP3.
Users can browse, download, and purchase books as well as newspapers and there is no monthly subscription or transaction charges for basic wireless connectivity. Users can even load personal files and documents to the reader as well wit te help of USB connectivity.
The touchscreen of the reader can be used for navigation as well as for making handwritten notes.
