An occasional comment we hear about storing all your music on a portable music player and playing it through some speakers is that, to an audiophile, it probably doesn’t sound very good. The new Olive 4HD promises to provide a solution for those who want the ease of use of storing all of their music in one place but still want to give their hand chosen amp and speakers a work out. This pretty attractive music server will rip CDs to its internal 2TB, noise isolated hard drive or can be loaded with 24bit 192Khz HD audio if you can get your hands on it. The price, well that is definitely in audiophile territory at $1,999. For that you could attend quite a few live concerts but for if listening at home is more your thing and you are seriously in to high fidelity then this could be for you.
